A few tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way using products (and produce) found in most kitchens.

Exfoliate Face:

  1. quarter size of shampoo (almost any shampoo works, gentle is best)
  2. 1/2 tspn of salt (sea salt is always first choice)
  3. mix well between palms
  4. scrub face in circular motions
  5. wash with lukewarm water
  6. take an ice cube and gently run it across the skin on your face
  7. moisturize

Exfoliate Body:

  1. 1 part olive oil
  2. 2 parts ground coffee beans
  3. mix well (in a cup or bowl of your choice)
  4. scoop and scrub body thoroughly, especially on target areas*
  5. moisturize

*When used externally coffee helps break down cellulite, or fat cells under the skin, and increase blood flow thus flushing away toxins.

Dry Itchy Scalp:

  1. half of a ripe banana
  2. half of a ripe avocado
  3. 3 Tbsp of honey
  4. mix well
  5. apply to scalp
  6. shower cap for 30 minutes
  7. wash

✭ Also for the long run – a capsule of Aspirin dropped into a fresh shampoo bottle does wonders.
