Dry Skin | La peau sèche

It’s that time of year, lovelies, when we find our skin dry and itchy.

Some of you live in more severe climates with a high windshield factor and snow, some of you (like moi) live in warmer climates that still feel a change of season.

If you are like me and have sensitive skin that flakes at the remote sound of the wind, I have some recipes for you to explore:

  1. half of a ripe avocado
  2. few drops of lime juice
  3. mix well and spread onto skin
  4. wash with lukewarm water after 15-20min.
  1. 2-5 Tblsp raw peanuts
  2. 1/4 tsp honey
  3. mix with milk to create a paste
  4. spread on skin until dry
  5. wash with lukewarm water
  1. mix milk and mustard
  2. apply paste onto skin for 10min.
  3. wash with lukewarm water
  1. mix cooked oatmeal with honey
  2. apply mixture to skin for 20min.
  3. wash with lukewarm water

These ingredients alone are great for the skin:

  • Vitamin E oil
  • Grapeseed oil
  • Avocado oil
  • Aloe Vera gel
  • Shea butter
  • Mineral water instead of tap

From within:

  • Salmon and Flax Seed Oil: omega-3 fatty acids
  • Raw Orange and Yellow Veggies: high in beta-carotine and antioxidants
  • Garlic, Onion, Eggs: rich in sulfur


  • Animal Fats
  • Fried Food
  • Sugar
  • Alcohol
  • Caffeine

Exfoliate once a week! Moisturize every day! Wash your skin with lukewarm water only as hot scolding liquids suck the moisture out leaving you feeling worse than before.
